Frequently asked questions
Is a code reading the same as a diagnosis?+
No. A code reading tells us which system flagged a problem; a diagnosis tells us the actual cause. We test the system to find the real fault so you don't replace parts that aren't broken.
What's the difference between a steady and a flashing check engine light?+
A steady light means get it diagnosed soon. A flashing light, or a car that runs badly, means stop driving and call us — it can damage the catalytic converter if you keep going.
Can I walk in for a check engine light diagnosis?+
Yes. Walk-ins are welcome Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. Calling ahead at (403) 287-0337 is advised so we can get you in quickly.
